Happy 20 Months!

Sydney is 20 months today! Sydney has become quite the chatterbox. She is learning new words and phrases every day. She is experimenting with phrases and possessives. Our favorites are "um on, Daddy" (come on, Daddy), "Mommy's/Daddy's/ Syd's chair," "kisses to daddy." and "nap." Sydney also likes to point out moving vehicles and will say "yellow bus" or "big truck" when one passes by. She is also learning to identify colors. Her favorites are yellow and purple (so perhaps her trips to LA are turning her into a fan of Lakers, like her cousin and uncle). Sydney continues to love books and can also count to 2! She has developed an interest in painting (only with a brush, so her fingers don't get messy) and coloring with markers. This month Sydney decided it was time to graduate to a toddler bed, by attempting to climb out of her crib...twice. It took a few weeks for Sydney to get use to her new freedom, but she is (mostly) back to her regular sleep schedule.
