Happy 17 Months!

Sydney is 17 months today! She is growing so fast and developing her own personality. She is "talking" up a storm and loves to participate in mealtime conversation. We are not always sure what she is trying to say, but she has a way of getting her point across. She is starting to repeat words and learns new ones each day, this month our favorites were "chee" (cheese), "ree" (raisins), "bu-bye," "me-me" (milk).

Sydney loves her babies and has to take them everywhere and they have to do everything together. She still loves to go outside for walks to find the perfect stick. Sydney continues to be a daredevil and takes more risks climbing and trying new tricks. She has mastered the big slide at our park and has started to stand on the seat of her bike. Sydney likes to watch us cook and has a new step stool so she can climb up and watch the action. She cannot move it herself yet - but tells you when she wants to use it and where to put it. Just like her Daddy, she is very interested in how things are put together and also loves to take things apart.

This month Sydney had her first trip to the ER... she had croup. She was very brave and is fully recovered (so is Momma). Nana and Papa Chak visited from NY and Sydney was a very entertaining hostess. We took a trip to a beautiful cabin in Tahoe with some friends and Sydney got to play in a little snow. Daddy took Sydney and Momma on a Valentine's Day canoe ride followed by lovely dinner.
