Happy Nine Months

Sydney is nine months old! She is keeping us very busy, so we have been a little behind on updating her blog on her actual month birthday.We did visit the doctor today for her 9 month check up and besides being a huge hit with the nurses and her doctor, she got a clean bill of heath. Dr. Budd says she is growing and developing great - which has been a lot in these last nine months. Here are her stats as of today for you math types:

Length/Height: 28.5 inches  (85th percentile)
Weight: 18 pounds 10 ounces  (60th percentile)
Head Circumference : 17.75inches (85th percentile)

Which, for those of you keeping track, means she is 7.5 inches taller, 10 lbs 3 oz heavier, and her head grew 4.36 inches since she was born. 

It's been a busy month for our little girl. She started the month off by mastering crawling and has not stopped moving. She is very fast and uses her hands, knees and feet to get around. Just a few days after crawling, Sydney figured out how to climb our step and pull herself up to standing. She loves to stand on anything she can - the step, couch, chairs, walls, her crib, Momma, or Daddy. She continues to be happy except when she had a little bug that caused her to have a fever for a few days. She is much better now but she is still teething. She currently has 5 teeth peaking through her gums! Sydney continues to love the water and now that it's hot in Sac we visit a friend's pool and/or a splash park about once a week. She loves story time and we joined "Summer Reading" at the library last week. She is becoming a better "reader" and helps us read books now instead of eating them and shows a preference to a few books and pages.
