Happy Eight Months (and one day)

Ms. Sydney is 8 months old + one day today! Sydney wanted to wait one extra day for this month's update because she learned a new trick just this afternoon. Today while wiggling about on her tummy, she pushed herself up a seated position. Needless to say she was very proud of herself and uses it to get herself around. Daddy has to hurry up with the baby proofing!

Sydney continues to learn new things and is developing a fun personality. One of her favorite "tricks" is to shake and throw a toy and then reach or scoot to go get it. Sydney is getting around on the floor and has started pushing herself to "crawl" backwards by pushing herself back. She also likes to stand by holding on to someone or something, but is still too unsteady to move her feet.

Sydney still loves books and is learning not to eat them. She likes to touch the pages and feel the pictures.  Sometimes she will even laugh if she thinks the pictures are funny. Mealtime continues to be her favorite time and most chatty part of the day. She loves to join the conversation and tell everyone how yummy the food tastes. She has started to say recognizable words like "Dada" "up" and "ah" we are still working on "Momma."  She also has started to "sing" along to music and bounce to the beat.

Sydney took her second trip to the east coast this month and was quite the celebrity. She stole everyone's hearts and did great meeting so many new friends and family.
